Obituary for Matthew S Chudoba Jr.

Matthew S  Chudoba Jr.
Matthew S Chudoba, Jr. of Eastampton passed away Monday October 23, 2017 at his residence. He was 81. Matt was born in Philadelphia, PA and had been a longtime resident of Eastampton. He was a 1954 graduate of Rancocas High in Mt. Holly. Matt served his country in the US Air Force. He had worked and retired after 35 years as a right away agent for NJ Bell. Matt was very active in his community especially with the Mt. Holly Elks Lodge #848, going through the chairs, being the exalted ruler at the lodge, serving as the chairman of the trustees, and being very active with the Special Children's Committee. He also was the tax accessor for 34 years in Eastampton and he served as the Fire commissioner in Eastampton. When Matt wasn't working or at the Elks, he was working around his house doing various projects. He designed and built the house he lived in and did many renovations through the years. Matt enjoyed fishing, doing handyman things, photography; which he did professionally and even had a studio at his home.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Lorraine; two daughters: Tish Chudoba and Stephanie Rush ( Daniel); three grandchildren: Ryan, Aidan and Logan Rush; his brother Paul Chudoba (Mary); and his close cousin Rosalia Rau(Daniel)

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday October 29th at 12PM at the Lee Funeral Home, 317 High St., Mt. Holly. Friends may visit with the family Sunday from 10AM-12PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either the Special Children's Committee at the Mt. Holly Elks, 116 High St., Mt. Holly, NJ 08060 or to Compassus Hospice, 200 Campbell Dr., Suite 106, Willingboro, NJ 08046. Email condolences to the family at leefuneralservice.com.
